Application:

Winchester Model 70 short action rifles. The short action Model 70 was introduced in the early 1980s, and was produced into at least the mid 2000s. With the ownership / production changes at Winchester over the years, it's hard to say if a particular rifle from the mid 2001 through 2006 used the older short action length, or the newer WSM length action (.260" longer) here: Model 70 WSM Picatinny Rail

If your rifle is 2007 or newer, you almost certainly need the WSM length base linked above, as Winchester seems to have consolidated their production to three action lengths: WSSM, WSM, and Long for currently produced rifles.
